for friends&parents

A thoughtful present!

You know about the efforts of the other. And you care, try to be helpful and to motivate! An Easy Reader in foreign language can be a nice pastime, and for sure it will be useful.

Encourage!

You know the way of learning a foreign language is long and often tiring. Every student lives moments of frustration or boredom. A fascinating story can help! Stories of adventure and murder, of loyalty and faith: Faust and Siegfried, the lives of Martin Luther or of women like

Marlene Dietrich

and Hedy Lamarr, the murderous nun from Monza and the famous robber

Carmine Crocco

bring new life in your friend's or son's or daughter's imagination ... and motivate them.

In touch

In foreign contries it is important to know about cultural backgrounds, to understand the others culture, to grasp allusions. You have to know who Faust and Bach were when you are going to Germany or attending a University there. You can not move in Italy without being informed about the tortuous process of unification the country went through, without knowing names like Dante (no Easy Reader yet) and Manzoni.
Or better: yes, you can, but you will be considered a poor chap. What they do not teach in modern language classes: An Easy Reader can help.

Germany: They want to know!

Whoever starts studying the German language can not avoid reflecting about totalitarism, war and destruction. Text books usually avoid presenting the topic. But your students know and perceive a shadow on our language. Make them reflect with the lively narration of the difficult existence of a teenager in Nazi Germany:
"Der Verrat" (

on iTunes,
on Kindle

), a story where facts and moral questions of everyday life in Nazi Germany are presented.

Exercise!

With iTunes, I am currently developing Easy Reader with interactive exercises, to start with Carmine Crocco

, and soon also in German:

"Martin Luther"

(to appear in May, 2018).

Italy: Poverty, Politics and Crime

In Italy, life in the 19th century was hard, and long has been the road to national unification. Students ought to know something about the origins of the political problems of the country. And they will be moved by the narration of Carmine Crocco's life.
